When You're Not Fully There

Photo taken by Emmy Stevens
I don’t know
What's wrong.
Or if it’s even bad
Something’s missing
In your actions
In your voice.
Coordinated gestures have fallen
Flat on your languished chin
dribbling
I don’t know what to do
When you’re not fully there
I feel your emotions
The curl of your lip
genuine as your love
For me.
But your filter fallen out
Thoughts hang up in the air
Film and foam like spider rope
You always seem so scattered
When you're not fully there
Something is off
That much is clear
Nothing seems wrong
How much more I can bear
How much more for you?
In one ear
spilt out your mouth
No matter how much you care
Concern dribbles down my chin
When you’re here
Not with me
